Hi, guys!
It’s me, Oli Agustin of Letter Day Story / LDS! And I’ll be blogging about the music video shoot experience we had for our new single “Save Me” from our upcoming EP entitled “Breakaway.”
As the writer of the song, I was definitely excited when I heard that we’ll be making a video for Save Me. In fact, even if we had to shoot in Porac, Pampanga, which is an outdoor location, it didn’t matter because everyone in the band was so thrilled to see the outcome of it! The video shoot was just in time for us to go out of town and enjoy the fresh air outside the Metro.
So we left Manila at around six in the morning and when we arrived at the location, it was so hot and our bodies were sweating all over. But even if the heat was so intense, the whole production team was so willing to take all the scenes and take some steps to different locations in the area. We walked through the lahar, the rocky road, upside down hills, and even at the middle of the wide rivers. Good thing no one got hurt after the shoot, though most of us were so suntanned, dark red, and blushing after.
With our director Ace Villena and his team, six hours were just enough for us to finish everything. Direk Ace was so accommodating and open to any ideas brought up by the band. On top of that, his story concept was so close to what we’ve imagined upon recording the song. The shots and the graphics made were so descriptive and fitting to our song.
All in all, it was really a fun day. I was able to work along with my friends and enjoy the company of the whole team. And no complaints were made even it was very hot! So I hope that all of you will watch out for our new music video “Save Me.” Me, together with my band are now looking forward to your thoughts and reactions about the video. We hope you’ll continue to enjoy and support our music!
